Fathers Against Abuse Receives lnaugural Zimbabwe Gender Commission Award

Fathers Against Abuse(FAA) received an award as the first runner-up of the outstanding civic society organization that promotes gender equality,at Zimbabwe Gender Commission’s inaugural awards ceremony in the capital yesterday.Alois Nyamazana received the award on behalf of the organization.

The event was graced by the representative from Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprise Development and other government officials.Dr Marvis Sibanda gave the guest of honours speech on behalf of Minister Monica Mutsvangwa.

Alois Nyamazana is the founder of Fathers Against Abuse Trust. He has been instrumental in promoting gender equality in Zimbabwe. Nyamazana has been conducting outreaches across the country and participating in countless forums which have helped pave way for equality between men and women.

His tireless efforts to nurture and promote gender issues has seen him writing books which highlight the need for gender equality while embracing the need to change negative masculinities that are heavily embedded in patriarchal societies.
