Zimbabwe Hosts Landmark Smart Education Seminar To Bridge Digital Divide

The Smart Zimbabwe Business Network held the Smart Education Seminar in the capital on Friday last week.
The high-level seminar brought together government ministers, education leaders, technology innovators and development partners under the theme:”Powering the Future: Building a Connected, Equitable,and Al-Ready Education System for Zimbabwe”.
The seminar addressed the urgent need to accelerate digital transformation in the country’s education sector aligning directly with Vision 2030 and government’s commitment to equitable, quality education for all.With rural schools facing significant challenges with connectivity and urban schools requiring upgrades to smart technologies,this platform sought to facilitate actionable partnerships to close the digital divide.
Key focus areas included universal schools connectivity, sustainable energy solutions and content,Al in learning and administration,financing and partnerships.
The seminar was graced by the minister of information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services, Honourable Tatenda Mavetera.
