Pauline’s Latest Offering A Masterpiece (Music Review)

Seasoned artiste Pauline Gunduza has produced another masterpiece.Titled “Ndauya” the latest track is the title song for her debut ten-track Extended Play(E.P).
Officially unpacked to the public in the capital at Pauline’s 40th birthday bash,on 19 July, the track intricately blends gospel with Afrofusion ,a genre which has made the musician a household name on the music arena.
Produced by Afrotonic Sound’s Good Kid the song, like the other tracks on the E.P, chronicles the artiste’s life.
“Ndini ndadzoka semwana muparadzi.Maoko angu haana kuchena.lni ndakange ndakange ndakarasika baba,dai manditambira .Zvamunoona mweya nenyama yangu zvinopikisana,”laments Pauline in the song.
Literally compares herself to the Biblical prodigal child in the track.She goes on to point out her spirit and flesh are in constant conflict.
A former leader singer of Mafriq,an Afrocentric ensemble, Pauline is a partner and resident artiste at Afrotonic Sound Studios in Harare.
For her fans and music lovers ‘Ndauya’ is a must have.
