Netball League Teams Battle lt Out For Top Honours

Patchway (Kadoma) – The Rainbow Netball League, held in Kadoma Patchway on October 25, 2025, was an exciting tournament that brought together three top-notch teams to showcase their skills, determination, and passion for the game.
The opening match between Golden Queens and Filchrist was a nail-biting encounter, with Golden Queens narrowly emerging victorious with a score of 40–39. Both teams displayed exceptional skills and determination throughout the game, keeping spectators on the edge of their seats. Golden Queens’ strong teamwork and resilience ultimately paid off, securing the narrow win.Gladis Mbare was the standout performer, scoring an impressive 34 goals to lead her team to victory. Despite the loss, Filchrist’s Goal Defence was named Best Player of the Match for her outstanding defensive skills and court awareness, earning a $20 reward for her efforts.
In the second match, Golden Queens faced ZRP Vixens. The game was less challenging, with Golden Queens dominating the court through excellent coordination and accurate shooting. Determined to claim four more points, the team played with great focus and energy. Once again, Gladis Mbare shone as the Top Goal Scorer, netting 30 goals, while Amakeilla Phiri was named Player of the Match, also walking away with $20.
Overally, it was a thrilling display of netball talent and sportsmanship. Golden Queens emerged as the champions of the bubble, thanks to their consistent performance and teamwork. Special appreciation goes to coaches Farai Chuma, Wilberforce Hlabati, and support staff Ninja and Chenai for their guidance and dedication.
Congratulations to the Golden Queens on their well-deserved victory! Filchrist and ZRP Vixens also put up a great fight, making the competition fierce and entertaining — a true celebration of the spirit of netball.
