Councilor Hosts Colourful Independence Commemorations

Zvimba district ward 20 councilor organized a colourful independence commemoration occasion to mark the country’s 46th anniversary.Throngs convened at Munhondo Primary School grounds(Darwendale,Zvimba South constituency),on the 18th of April, for this year’s independence celebrations.
Conducted under the national theme: Celebrating freedom,unit and development,the event was graced by members from ZANU PF Mashonaland West Province offices, the Zimbabwe National Army, community leaders,locals and school children.
A major highlight of the occasion was the reading of the 46th Independence Presidential Speech.The programme included a brief history of the liberation struggle and the road to independence,by a decorated war veteran.
Entertainment included performances by artists,sports and other recreation activities.
Ephraim Maunze,the Zvimba district ward 20 councilor, is also the founder and national chairperson of the Farm Workers 4 Economic Development (FW4ED) and Josiah Chiyedzo Dimbo is the national advisor.
According to the leadership of FW4ED is a dynamic non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of farm workers in Zimbabwe.
Among the organization’s programmes are national identity cards issuance facilitation and skills training.
