Idya Banana To Officially Unpack Track After Hiatus

Award winning singura musician Joseph Garakara – aka Idya Banana – is scheduled to officially release his latest offering this month.Titled ‘Bvunza’ the track was produced at DanMag Studios in Glen Norah(Harare).
According to the ‘ldya Banana ‘ hitmaker the track was inspired by real life situations in people’s lives.The late national hero and music legend Oliver Mtukudzi had agreed to collaborate with Garakara on the track in 2018 but Tuku’s deteriorating health and eventual passing led to the shelving of the song.
Garakara (55) had this to say about the inspiration behind the track:”l was inspired by situations that there are people who embark on doing things before they have consulted around.lnstead of producing a good thing,they end up producing something that lacks content and deep knowledge, hence the need to consult – Bvunza.”
The latest offering is a blend of sungura and mbira music.Garakara is the frontman of Mbama Extra Express(formerly Mbama Express), a 7 member ensemble.He has produced 9 albums to date.
