Minister Mutsvangwa Pledges To Support Zimbabwe Gender Commission’s Vision

The Minister of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, Honourable Monica Mutsvangwa,has promised to support and promote the Zimbabwe Gender Commission’s vision to facilitate for continued bloom of gender equality in the country.Speaking on her behalf at the inaugural Zimbabwe Gender Commission awards in the capital yesterday,Dr Marvis Sibanda said contributions by individuals, companies and civic organizations in terms of nurturing an environment which fosters the growth of gender equality are very crucial.
Dr Sibanda went on to emphasize that the award winners were torch bearers in the process of making positive change in gender equality issues.
The inaugural awards saw individuals and organizations getting recognition for the contributions made since the establishment of the Zimbabwe Gender Commission a decade ago.Commisioner Margret Mukahanana Sangarwe is the chairperson of the gender commission.
