Respect Copyright Laws: Presiding Archbishop Guti

Zimbabwe Assemblies Of God Africa (ZAOGA) Forward in Faith Ministries lnternational leader Presiding Archbishop Joe Guti says gospel artists and musicians within the church should respect copyright laws.The man of cloth advised artists and musicians at a grand ceremony to mark the 2026 edition of the Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti Day,on the 2nd of May,in Braeside (Harare).An awards ceremony and a gospel music concert with more 100 artists complimented the annual event.
Addressing artists and gospel musicians ,Presiding Archbishop J.Guti emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline and following the Christian guidelines , inline with the late Ezekiel H.Guti’s teachings and gospel interpretation – during music compositions and performances.He went to emphasize the importance of respecting copyright laws.
“In today’s world you need to be sensitive to copyright laws because today’s world is not like yesterday.You have to respect someone’s work.Do not pretend as if it is your song when you copied someone.You can end up in trouble or even the church can be in trouble,” the man of God advised.
Seasoned and celebrated gospel was among the gospel artists who graced the event.He said he was honoured to able to celebrate the life and legacy of the renowned late Christian icon and visionary, Ezekiel H.Guti.
“This is a very important day for ZAOGA FlF, congregants,deacons, youths and the Christian community all over the world as we celebrate the life and legacy of our father.Celebrating as we look forward to the future and what we will achieve through his Christian teachings,”Magacha said.
The founder of ZAOGA FlF lnternational, Ezekiel H.Guti was born in 1923 and passed on at the age of 100.During his 75 years of active Christian ministry, Ezekiel established church in over 170 nations.Held every first Saturday of May,the Ezekiel H.Guti Day is an annual day on the church’s calendar.The day was established to honour, celebrate and cherish the late visionary’s legacy.
